Privacy policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Tabby does not collect, sell, or transmit personal data to the developer or to third-party services.
Data the extension accesses
- Bookmarks: Tabby reads and modifies bookmarks only to provide its bookmark-management features.
- Active tab: Tabby reads the active page’s title and URL only when the user clicks + Add.
- Extension storage: Tabby stores the identifier of the last selected bookmark folder through Chrome Sync so it can restore that selection. Chrome manages this synchronization according to the user’s Chrome settings.
- Favicons: Tabby uses Chrome’s local favicon cache to display site icons.
All extension functionality runs locally in the browser. Tabby does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, or a developer-operated backend.
Data retention and deletion
Tabby does not retain user data outside the browser. Users can remove the saved folder preference by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension’s stored data. Bookmark changes are managed through Chrome’s bookmark controls.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be published with an updated date.
